On November 5, 2020 in Široki Brijeg, the project manager Lucija Kvesić and the director of the Development Agency of the West Herzegovina County HERAG Radoslav Luburić signed an agreement on cooperation on the project “YOUth drive”.
On this occasion, the Director of HERAG, Mr. Radoslav Luburić, expressed his full support for the YOUTH DRIVE project, which will contribute to the development of the community and raise public awareness of the importance of proper waste management and environmental protection. In addition, he emphasized the importance and praised the representatives of EKO ZH, who as the first representatives of the NGO sector in the West Herzegovina County managed to prepare such a valuable project and receive funding from the European Union, and that they can always count on HERAG support.
After the signing of the agreement, the employees of both institutions held a working meeting at which the possibilities of joint participation in public invitations, which are open or expected in the coming period, were discussed.
The project full title “YOUth Drive – Program for raising awareness on proper waste management and empowering legislators for taking action” is funded by the European Union through the cross-border cooperation program IPA CBC Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020. The project is implemented by the Association for Development, Environment and Culture EKO ZH with the project partner of the NGO Naša Akcija from Montenegro.
The project covers the area of the West Herzegovina County (Grude, Ljubuški, Posušje, Široki Brijeg) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the area of the Bay of Kotor (Herceg Novi, Tivat and Kotor) in Montenegro.
The total value of the project is EUR 279,200.48, and its duration is 18 months.
